Valentine Moghadam on States and Women's Movements (part 2)

Part 2: Valentine Moghadam, Professor of Sociology and Director of Women's Studies at Purdue University, was a guest speaker for the Engaged Sociologist Symposium series on October 25, 2010. The title of her talk was "States and Women's Movements: Family Law Reform in Iran and Morocco. Valentine Moghadam is a founding member and past president of the Association for Middle East Women's Studies and a founding contributor to the Journal of Middle East Women's Studies. Her talk was co-sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Peace Studies, Globalization Studies, The Sr. Thea Bowman Center for Women, Women's Studies, The J. Spencer and Patricia Standish Library, and The Damietta Cross-Cultural Center.
